What is the right dose of THC or CBD for me?
There are many factors that play a role when it comes to dosing including what type of mechanism is used to take CBD and THC. Everybody is different and has a different endocannabinoid system.
It is best to start with a small dosage and increase slowly until you reach your desired effect. Your ideal dosage depends on your body weight, endocannabinoid system and the condition you’re treating.
You should consult with your doctor when it comes to working out which dosage you should use, especially if you’re currently taking any medications.

Which type is the best for me?
There are big differences between CBD and THC and how it can make you feel. CBD is not psychoactive and binds to the endocannabinoid system to provide help with discomfort, mood, and rest. THC is psycho-active and affects the mind and brain. It elevates the mood and can help with rest and calmness. Depending on the desired effect, psychoactive and non-psychoactive can be mixed in specific ratios. When two cannabinoids like THC and CBD are combined, this leads to the entourage effect where the effect is greater than the sum of the individual components. (1+1=10)
There are many different products one can consider, starting from sublingual tinctures, edibles, beverages, and inhalable products such as vape pens, pre-rolls, and flower. Sublingual tinctures are very effective and get absorbed into the bloodstream through the complex capillary network under the tongue. If you don’t mind an earthy taste, this is a very good way to administer cannabinoids that bypass the metabolism making this a highly bioavailable delivery system. If you are not in favor of an earthy taste, an edible may be a good alternative. However, edibles will have to pass through the digestive system and get metabolized before they hit the blood stream. So you may need to take a higher dose of cannabinoids with an edible and you may have to wait for the effect to settle in. A vape pen or pre-roll gets inhaled and the cannabinoids cross directly from the alveoli in the lungs to the blood stream. Inhalation is the best delivery mechanism when it comes to immediate onset and high bioavailability. However, some people are not comfortable inhaling due to irritation in the throat or lungs and thus may benefit from an edible or tincture. There are many choices for cannabis consumers and everybody has a different sensitivity towards a different product. That is why it is very important to get a knowledgeable cannabis consultant to help you pick the correct product.
How do you read a lab report?
To read a lab report or Certificate of Analysis (COA) for cannabis products:
- Verify Authenticity: Ensure the COA is issued by an accredited, third-party lab and matches the product's batch or lot number.
- Review Cannabinoid Content: Look at THC, CBD, and other cannabinoid percentages or milligrams per gram to understand potency.
- Check Terpenes: Examine the terpene profile to identify the aromatic and therapeutic compounds present.
- Inspect Contaminant Testing: Ensure the product has been tested for pesticides, heavy metals, mold, and residual solvents, and that levels are within safety limits.
- Understand Results: Familiarize yourself with lab testing terminology and units of measurement to interpret the findings accurately.
