Treatment resistance is a significant problem among young people experiencing moderate-to-severe nervous tension and stress, affecting nearly half of all patients. A recent study conducted at the National Center of Excellence in Youth Mental Health in Australia investigated the safety and efficacy of cannabidiol (CBD), a non-intoxicating component of Cannabis sativa, for nervous tension disorders in young people who previously failed to respond to standard treatment. The results suggest that CBD can reduce the severity of anxiety with a good safety profile. The study medication has been provided by Trigal Pharma GmbH, Vienna.
